Abstract

167,406. Davis, W. K. Sept. 13, 1920. Feed-water, heating.-A fuel-economizer consists of vertical rows of horizontal water-tubes 1 traversed by smoke-tubes 3, the water-tubes in each row being connected together and to upper and lower headers 8, 7 by flanged connections 5. The ends of the smoke-tubes may be enlarged, or may be cast integral with the water tubes, as described in Specification 167,105.
