Abstract

161,485. Pitt, J. July 14, 1920. Springs, arrangement of; frame construction. -Consists of a perambulator having a body and hood formed from sheet metal, and a combined undercarriage and handles frame riveted to the body and spring-mounted on the wheel axles. The body A is formed of curved and shaped sheet metal and has a sheet-metal hood B pivoted on either side and adapted to be lowered into a recess D formed between the body and the shaped back C' of the seat-frame. A tubular frame E terminating in handles, is riveted to the body at E<1>, and is provided with curved blocks F carrying rods G passing through apertures in corner plates on a tubular axle frame J, supporting springs K surrounding the rods G, which are secured beneath the frame J by rubber washers. A hood may be provided at each end of the body.
