A x l e attachments; springs, arrangement of. -A perambulator undercarriage comprises members which cross each other diagonally intermediate their ends and are provided with ceesprings at each end, the lower parts of the ceesprings being in the same vertical planes as the corresponding members, and the upper parts departing therefrom into vertical planes parallel to the sides of the body, the members being attached to the axles and body with one of the cee-springs of each member at each side of the body. Springs a, Fig. 3, are welded together at their point c of intersection and bent over as shown to form cee-springs. These cee-springs are welded to clips which surround transverse bars secured to the body. The axles b are welded to the springs and to clips f, Figs. 6 and 7, formed with an intermediate portion, which projects away from the axle to reach over the spring and is perforated to receive the axle, and end portions which lie along the axle and may be bent to envelop a portion thereof. Alternatively the attachment may be effected by bending the spring to envelop the axle partially and welding to both a guard plate g, Fig. 16. Specification 18020/90 is referred to.
