153,389. Clement, J. Aug. 11, 1919. Window frames; stops and buffers for lessening slamming.-Reinforced concrete window and sash frames 1, 2, 3, Fig. 2, are each constructed in one piece, and the sash frames are guided by wooden bars 4<1> - - 4<4> secured to the stiles, or two of the bars may be dispensed with, as shown in Fig. 3, and the outer sash frame provided with a metal strip 9 engaging a groove in the stile. Impact between the frames is lessened by cushions of rubber, cork, or like material. The two sash frames can be connected by cords with balance weights, but preferably they are of equal weight and connected by a cord passing over pulleys carried by the window frame.
