Abstract

1507868 Tamper indicating closure and container R O C JOHNSEN (West Co of Phoenixvill) 16 Sept 1976 [29 Oct 1975] 44648/75 Heading B8T A tubular container 1 has an annular projecting band 4 adjacent its open upper end 3; a co-operating closure 7 has a skirt 9 depending from its top and a retaining band 10 attached to the skirt by weakened line 11. In operation, closure 7 is force-fitted to container 1 so that band 10 seats tightly on band 4 aided by the knurling on band 4. Retaining band 10 must then be separated from skirt 9 along weakened line 11 in order to remove the cap 8 by upward pressure. Band 10 may be removed from container 1 in a downward direction if desired.
