Abstract

1506577 Vacuum cleaner bag DRG (UK) Ltd 23 May 1975 [22 July 1974] 32389/74 Heading BIT A vacuum cleaner bag (e.g. of paper or other porous foldable material) in which the inlet for dust is formed in the end which contains a self opening satchel on block bottom type end closure having an inner pair of flaps or portions 26 or 32 extending inwardly from one pair of opposed edges of the end closure 34 or 36 and an outer pair of flaps or portions 26 or 32 extending inwardly from the other pair of opposed edges of the end closure 34 or 36. The flaps or portions are adhered together (e.g. at 46) except in the centre of the end closure 38 which centre provides an opening through which the air and dust collected by the vacuum cleaner is passed. The proximate edges of one pair of flaps e.g. 32 are spaced apart whilst the other pair of flaps e.g. 26 are in edge to edge relationship. An apertured plate may be secured over the opening. Cuts or perforations may be made in the bag blank to facilitate folding and opening.
