Abstract

1499443 Roofing panel ROOFTILERS (VIC) PTY Ltd 23 May 1975 [7 June 1974] 22887/75 Heading E1B A roofing panel has opposite respectively upwardly and downwardly directed interlocking edge flanges of such a form that when each is interlocked with the corresponding opposite flange of a similar adjacent panel an elongate cavity 11 is formed. The cavity has an outer lower edge which allows discharge of water and the formation of a meniscus to restrict air flow into the cavity and the forcing of water over the upper inner edge 8 under wet and windy conditions. The panels may be formed of coated sheet metal and may be formed on their other edges with similar meniscus forming interlocking corrugations.
