Abstract

1472610 Printing machines LES ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES C & A HOLWEG SA 2 Dec 1974 [17 Dec 1973] 52029/74 Heading B6C A doctor 4 in a printing machine is driven via a drive which includes a section where the rotation is transmitted by cable 6. The drive may originate, as shown, from the drive 2 for the printing cylinder, or from a separate motor (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) which may or may not be synchronized with that of the printing cylinder. The doctor may be reciprocated by regulatable eccentric 9. The doctor may be applied, as shown to an intaglio printing cylinder, or (Fig. 3, not shown) to the engraved roller in the inking train of a flexographic printing machine. The cable may be readily detachable, and couplable to an input, e.g. for moving the carriages containing the inking rollers away from the printing cylinder.
