Abstract

1471390 Concrete mixing plant STEELFIELDS Ltd 12 Feb 1976 [14 Jan 1975] 1581/ 75 Heading B1C [Also in Division Gl] A transportable concrete mixing plant comprises a cement container 1, a mixer 8 and a cement weigh hopper 9 mounted on extensions 6 of the container 1, a screw conveyor 28 for carrying cement to the weigh hopper 9, an aggregate weigh hopper 7 mounted on extensions 5 of the container 1, a conveyor belt 15 extending through a passage 20 through the container 1 for carrying aggregate from hopper 7 to mixer 8, and a water tank and metering pump (not shown) for supplying water to the mixer. Container 1 has inwardly curved side walls 2, 3 and an air slide 27 is provided in its bottom. The container is vented via a filter 34, and a manhole 33 is provided. The outlets 23 and 14 of the cement and aggregate weigh hoppers are pneumatically operated. Container 1 is normally supported by supports 11 but may be transported by means of wheels 12 mounted on a removable sub-frame and fifth wheel 13.
