Abstract

1473061 Weighing out concrete constituents ETABS MINATO SA 17 Jan 1975 [21 Jan 1974] 2189/75 Heading G1W Apparatus for weighing out the constituents for a concrete mix comprises a weighing machine having a weighing container divided to form a compartment 41, 42, 43, 44 for each type of aggregate, a probe 41', 42', 43', 44' in each compartment for measuring the water content of the aggregate therein, and means for automatically determining the amount of water required in the mix taking into account the water content of the aggregates. The four compartments 41-44 form a cone supported by load cells 45, 46, 47. The signals from the load cells and the probes 41'-44' pass to an integrator 9 which calculates the mean water content which is displayed at 10. A computer 11 controls a valve in the feed of water to a weighing machine to automatically weigh out the requisite amount of water for the mix.
