Abstract

853,443. Weighing apparatus. ARBAU BAUGERATE G.m.b.H. Dec. 13, 1956 [Dec. 14, 1955], No. 38033/56. Addition to 850,525. Class 143 [Also in Group XXX] In a transportable concrete batching plant the weighing and mixing apparatus is located within a mobile pyramid shaped structure 11 provided with detachable radial walls 15 which define storage bays for the constituents of the mix which are fed to the interior of the pyramid through gates 13 in the pyramid walls. A scraper 22 operated by a cable 20 and winch 19 facilitates trimming of the constituents. Batching Mechanism:-The trough 2 which constitutes the weighing receptacle receives aggregate through the gates 13, cement from a screw conveyer fed weighing container 29 and water from a measuring device 39, and is provided with mixing mechanism 3 driven by a motor 4. The trough is provided with a slide 9 through which the mixed concrete is discharged into a pneumatic conveyer 8. The batcher can operate automatically or under the control of an operator for whom a seat 31 is provided.
