Abstract

1440134 Mould for casting a bladed wheel KABUSHIKI GAISHA DAIKIN SEISAKUSHO 17 Oct 1973 [18 Oct 1972] 48354/73 Heading B3F [Also in Divisions F1 and F2] A mould for casting a turbine wheel comprising a plurality of circumferentially spaced blades (37) connected by an annular shell (35) and an inner ring (36) is provided with a unitary core comprising annular flanges 41 and 42 connected by ports 43. The core may be formed of resin bonded sand and is located between metallic mould halves 39 and 40. The molten metal is injected into the cavities 35<SP>1</SP>, 36<SP>1</SP> and 37<SP>1</SP> through a passage 44.
