Abstract
A description is given of a mould core for the production of complex castings with three dimensionally curved surfaces, in particular guide vanes and rotors for turbo machines with three dimensionally curved blades. The production of the said core is very much simplified as compared with previous designs and is associated with the achievement of high dimensional accuracy. For this purpose, the core is formed from two parts that can be fitted together, these parts having axially oriented joint faces.
