Abstract

1439085 Sowing seeds in boxes SUZUKI TANKO KK 17 Oct 1974 45123/74 Heading A1E Apparatus for delivering soil or seeds to a box comprises a hopper 3 having a dimpled discharge roller which is rotated by handle 6 and whose drive is transmitted to a conveyor roller 11 by a change speed arrangement such that the rate of soil or seed discharge can be varied with respect to the speed of box travel along the conveyer. The conveyer may be an endless belt or a series of driven and non- driven rollers. The change speed arrangement comprises half sheave pulleys 9, 11 which alter the effective diameter of belt 12.
