695,409. Shoots and hoppers. WRIGHTS BISCUITS, Ltd. April 15, 1952. [April 18, 1951] No. 9015/51. Addition to 670,590. Class 78 (i). In a modification of the apparatus claimed in the parent Specification for feeding biscuits from a stacking machine to a vertically disposed hopper 14, an endless web conveyer 16 is arranged over the lower of the two curved flexible bands 12, 13 guiding the biscuits 11 to the hopper. One or more of the rollers 17 supporting the conveyer 16 may be resiliently mounted to allow for the varying positions of the bands 12, 13. The web 16 may be freely mounted or may be driven, and in the latter case, the drive to the web may be shut off by closing of contacts 19 when the bands 12, 13 bulge owing to the presence of an excess number of biscuits.
