Abstract

1426530 Containers with lids BMW-VOGEL AG 5 June 1973 [6 June 1972] 26713/73 Heading B8T A lidded container has a lid 2 with an inverted U-shaped cross-section 2h at its edge having a wall 2c which locates in the container 1 and has an outwardly directed ring 2e and a skirt 2f with a deformable edge region 2g adapted to underlie an external projection 1d on the container 1 and including a plurality of lips 2gg projecting beyond the adjacent parts of the edge region 2g but connected to them by portions 2m capable of transmitting an inward force applied to the lips 2gg to the adjacent edge regions to move these towards the container in order to secure the lid 2 to the container 1. Fig. 3 (not shown) illustrates parts of a tool 4, 4a for clamping a lid 2 to a container.
