Abstract

1413421 Dry shavers SCHICK Inc 9 March 1973 [31 July 1972] 11565/73 Heading B4B [Also in Division H2] An electric shaver comprises a plastics housing 11 in which a motor 20, a diode rectifier bridge 29 and a mains supply plug 26 are located. When a switch 17 is closed, the motor rotates an eccentric pin 23 which imparts a reciprocating motion to a cutting blade 25 via an arm 24. The blade co-operates with a stationary comb 13, and a lamp 18, connected in series with the motor across the rectifier output, illuminates the area to be shaved through a plastics lens 16. The motor may be replaced by a solenoid driven vibrator. An ejector 15 enables removal of the comb and cutting blade.
