Abstract
137,434. Arnold, J. J. March 26, 1919. Pistons.-An appliance for use in inserting the piston into the cylinder of a gas or oil engine consists of a split steel or other sleeve 1 which is tightened on to the piston in order to compress the packing-rings by means of bolts 3 passing through lugs 2. The lugs 2, together with stops 4, prevent the sleeve from being inserted too far into the cylinder.
