Abstract

1374210 Waveguide junction circulators M-O VALVE CO Ltd 11 May 1973 [16 May 1972] 22912/72 Heading H1W A waveguide 3-port junction circulator comprises a ferrite member or members 7, 8 each located in a recess formed in one or both of opposed members 4, 5 attached to the broad walls of the junction. The ferrite members may, additionally, be spaced by a dielectric member 9 and the whole assembly clamped by a screw threaded plug 6 forming part of the upper locating member 5. The plug 6 may be made of magnetic material. The members 4, 5 are of triangular form with apices lying on the centre lines of the waveguides. To provide higherorder mode suppression, thin conductive members (not shown) may be inserted between the ferrite members and the spacer 9.
