Abstract

996,990. Waveguide windows. ENGLISH ELECTRIC VALVE CO. Ltd. June 28, 1963 [Oct. 1, 1962], No. 37029/62. Drawings to Specification. Heading H1W. In order to allow leakage of static electricity charges on a waveguide window, the window is provided on one or on both faces with thin resistive conductors extending at right-angles to the electric field of the propagated energy. For E 01 mode propagation, the conductors extend in a spiral and for H 01 circular-electric mode propagation, the conductors extend radially from the centre. For the H 11 mode, the conductors extend in straight lines perpendical to the direction of polarization. The conductors may consist of deposits of colloidal graphite or metal.
