Abstract
1370240 Bag type pressurized dispensers COSTER TECNOLOGIE SPECIALI SpA 24 March 1972 [30 March 1971] 13969/72 Heading F1R A valve for a collapsible bag type pressurized dispenser has provision for filling the outer container with pressurizing fluid while closing off the outlet of the bag and for preventing back flow of the pressurizing fluid. As shown, an extension 10 on the valve 7 is engagable with a valve 8 to press it on its seat when the stem 13 is fully depressed, thereby to close the outlet from the bag 18 so that pressurizing fluid entering the stem may only pass through a passage 14 into the exterior container. Return flow from the container is prevented by a resilient flap valve which, as shown, is formed by the neck of the bag 18. In normal operation the stem 13 is tilted to unseat the valve 7 and the extension 10 causes the valve member 8 to tilt and unseat, the stem being fitted with a nozzle 19. In a modification the extension 10 is modified to form a valve member (23) seatable on the wall 5 to close the passage without the interposed valve 8 Figs. 4-6 (not shown). In a further modification, a valve disc in a chamber formed in the wall 5 is seatable to close the passage by an extension (26) of the upper valve. Figs. 7-9 (not shown).
