Field carriages Relates to the hand-operated gear described in the parent Specification for turning and manoeuvring an endless-track gun carriage in the firing position, and consists in arranging the operating hand-wheel of the gear on the gun platform so that the gear may be used for training the gun. In the form shown, the training hand-wheel 4, situated near to the elevating hand-wheel 3, is connected by bevel gear and shafts 7, 8 to a reduction train of spur wheels 9, 12, 10 geared to the driving sprocket 11 of one of the endless tracks. The spur gearing is rendered inoperative when travelling by operating a clutch 13.
