134,323. Thornycroft & Co., J. I., and Pilliner, A. P. H. Oct. 31, 1918. Drawings to Specification. Casings.-A centrifugal pump is furnished with alternative suction and discharge branches. The volute chamber is revoluble within the outer casing, and, by rotating the chamber, the pump can be caused to operate through either of the sets of branches. The suction branch of each set may be merged into the delivery branch of the other set, and then, by rotating the volute chamber, the direction of flow through the pump is reversed. The pump is applicable to the jet propulsion of ships.
