1339149 Opening for open-end spinning ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 13 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970] 57744/71 Headings DID and D1N A method of opening fibres for open-end spinning comprises feeding the fibres via a feed roller 9 and a pressing bridge 10 to an opening roller 3. About the opening roller 3 is a fibre feed passage 18 with a first tapering part 18a whose length is at least four fifths of the staple length of the fibres and a second parallel part 18b. The opening roller 3 has needle combs 5 disposed about its circumference at a pitch at least equal to the staple length.
