Abstract
1286550 Endless conveyers BARRYWEHMILLER CO 17 Dec 1969 [21 May 1969] 61590/69 Heading B8A Bottles, cans and the like moved along support rails 23 by cup-like members 14 attached to an endless chain 15 are transferred to similar cups attached to an endless chain 33 by a pocket wheel 24 concentric with an end sprocket 21 of the chain 15. The path of the pockets 25 is such as to intersect that of the cups 14 to effect transfer of the bottles &c. therebetween and the spacing of the sprockets corresponds to that of the cups 37 so that the said pockets 25 and the cups 37 register with one another to effect transfer of the bottles therebetween. The wheel 40 may alternately feed the bottles to a similar wheel 51 associated with the following conveyer or to a carrier wheel 65 of a filling machine (not shown). The pitch of the cups on the receiving conveyer may be greater than that of the cups of the first conveyer. The drive for the wheels and the associated conveyers is effected through a train of chains and sprockets from the filling machine to ensure synchronism therewith.
