Abstract

1,132,292. Packaging articles; endless conveyers. GEBR. STORK & CO.'s APPARATENFABRIEK N.V. 18 April, 1967 [20 April, 1966], No. 17749/67. Headings B8A and B8C. [Also in Division F2] A carrier from which articles, e.g. bottles 6, are suspended is moved along a path including two upright portions 12, 13 by a link 10 connected at 14 to a link 15 rotated with substantially sinusoidal angular velocity about a shaft 16 which is ultimately driven from a uniformlyrotating shaft 24. In the form illustrated bottles 6 are lifted from an endless conveyer 1 and deposited in crates 4 on a conveyer 3. The shaft 16 is driven by a chain 19 passing around sprockets 17, 18 and driven by a connecting-rod 21 from a crank 23 on the uniformly-rotating shaft 24. The carrier 7 is maintained at a fixed orientation by chains passing around sprockets centred on the pivots 9, 14, 16.
