Abstract

1351233 Orientating bottles PACE PACKAGING CORP 7 June 1971 [17 June 1970] 19205/71 Heading B8A Bottle-orientating apparatus comprises a delivery conveyer depositing bottles laterally between two parallel spaced conveyer belts, an inclined guide between the conveyer belts downstream of the delivery point, and orientating means between the conveyer belts downstream of the guide. In Fig. 5, bottles 31 are carried from hopper 10 between the flight bars 11 of a delivery conveyer and are delivered between horizontally-moving vertical conveyer belts supported by frame 40, 40<SP>1</SP> and up an inclined guide 51. Fig. 13 shows the bottles, still gripped by belts 41 (only one shown) coming off the top of the inclined guide past escapement wheel 53 and orientating means in the form of guides 55, 56. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 18-22, 23a-23c, not shown) other orientating means are used.
