A duct is provided with a flow-rate equalizer comprising a partition 1 inclined across the flowpath and provided with one or more curved triangular cut away portions, see Figs.1A-C (not shown) having an area which decreases continuously in the downstream direction. Figs.4A, B, and 5A-F (not shown) illustrate a number of different radial partitions which are arranged in a circular duct. According to a further modification (not shown) the partition can be cylindrical.
