Abstract

1,079,869. Valves. SVENSKA FL€KTFABRIKEN A.B. July 8, 1966 [July 12, 1965], No.30849/66. Heading F2V. The disc-like closure member of a damper is provided with a plurality of holes the diameters of which are between 1.5 and 5 mm. The sum of the areas of the holes is between 15 and 60% of the total area of the disc. The provision of the holes reduces the sound level when the closure member is regulating flow. The disc is rotatably mounted in, and has the same cross-section as, the duct.
