Abstract
1,047,091. Flame arresters. J. NEUMANN. May 8, 1964 [June 27, 1963], No. 19240/64. Heading F4T. A flame arrester in a pipe conveying a mixture of combustible gases comprises a capillary device 4, Figures (not shown), and a partition 5 which breaks up the flame front. The capillary device may be made of corrugated strips. The partition 5 is either a metal sheet having at least one half-coil of a helical surface or is provided with openings flanked by an inclined surface or is cut radially from the periphery and the sectors twisted.
