Abstract
1,262,687. Feeding sheets. ADAMOVSKE STROJIRNY NARODNI PODNIK. 9 April, 1969 [9 April, 1968], No. 18146/69. Heading B8R. [Also in Division F2] Sheets 30, Fig. -l,-are-fed by grippers 31, Figs. 1 and 2, fixed to a shaft 2, to grippers 33 - on the-impression cylinder of.a printing-machine, the grippers 31 engaging the sheets while stationary and having an accelerating and then decelerating motion. The shaft 1 of the impression-cylinder-carries indented segments 5, 6, respectively, carrying a control cam 7 and a guiding cam 10. The shaft 2 carries two indented segments 13, 14 for engagement respectively with the segments 5, 6. The segment 14 carries guiding rollers 22, 26 running on the cam 10, and a pivoted two-armed lever 15 carrying a supporting roller 24 for engagement with the cam 10 and a roller 18 for engagement with the cam 7, being pressed against the cams by a compression spring 28 acting between the segment 14 and the lever 15. Acceleration of the shaft 2 and grippers 31 is produced by the cam 10 until the segments 6, 14 engage and produce a steady speed, during which the sheet is transferred to the grippers 33. The 'cam 10 then produces a further acceleration until the segments 5, 13 engage to maintain a higher speed. Deceleration to rest is then carried by the cams 7 and 10.
