Abstract
1,258,995. Sieve. HEIN, LEHMANN & CO. A.G. 11 Nov., 1969, No. 55027/69. Heading B2H. A sieve base comprises a sieve liner 1 of plastics material provided with unperforated strengthening portions 1', a lattice support 2 of resilient material, and tensioning means 3 at the ends of the portions 1', wherein the liner 1 and support 2 differ in their elastic qualities and in the untensioned state of the sieve base the less elastic of the two members lies in arched arrangement relative to the more elastic, and upon tensioning of the base (Fig. 3) the member which was initially the smaller and more elastic is extended to the length of the other. The support may be secured to the portions 1' with bolts 5, rivets, press-studs, screws, cement, or by vulcanisation, and it may be positioned above the sieve surface. Transverse strengthening members (7), (Figs. 4-7, not shown) of plastics, pressed wood, or lightweight metal may be secured to the support and/or the liner.
