Abstract

1,013,217. Anchoring device for concrete structures. P. MEIER. Nov. 6, 1962, No. 42000/62. Heading E1V. A channel shaped member 1, Fig. 3, of galvanised steel or synthetic resin; intended to be embedded in concrete to provide an externally accessible anchoring groove, has side walls which converge towards one another, and a mass of resilient material 4 of cellular structure is mounted within the channel to prevent ingress of concrete. The edges 3 of the channel side walls are bent back on themselves inwardly of the channel to provide support for anchoring elements such as nuts 6, Fig. 1. The mass of resilient material 4 may-form a projecting head 15. Reinforcing rods 13 may be supported on the channel member.
