Abstract

1,228,209. Traverse means. WHITIN MACHINE WORKS, Inc. 19 Sept., 1968 [28 Sept., 1967], No. 44682/68. Heading D1J. A yarn traverse guide assembly for use with a drum scroll cam 10 comprises a pair of guide bars 18, 20 having guide grooves 18a, 20a facing each other; a slide element 22 having (a) an elongate body 22a whose longer edges 22b, 22c slide in the grooves 18a, 20a there being notches in the edges 22b, 22c to define longitudinally spaced slide segments, (b) a narrow elongated flange 22f projecting from one face of the body 22a with its longer dimension aligned with the longer axis of the body 22a, and (c) a cylindrical shaft 24 projecting from the other face of the body; a yarn guide 30 embedded in the flange 22f, and a cam follower 26 rotatably mounted on the shaft 24.
