Abstract

1,219,927. Cutting-out press. A. CHIESA. 4 March, 1968 [3 March, 1967], No. 10429/68. Heading B4B. In a cutting or punching press comprising upper and lower platens H, K respectively, the platen H is either carried on a frame G which is pivotable about hinges F to an out-of-the-way position or is mounted on a carriage P provided with rollers N which are slidable along rails L to an out-of-the-way position. To prevent accidental operation of the press when the platen H is displaced from its working position, the press is provided with locking members which are automat cally operated when the platen H is so displaced. The frame is displaceable by hand or hydraulic means and the carriage P is displaceable by mechanical or hydraulic means.
