Abstract
1,204,213. Aircraft undercarriages. VEREINIGTE FLUGTECHNISCHE WERKE G.m.b.H. FRUHER " WESER " FLUGZEUGBAU/ FOCKE - WULF/HEINKEL - FLUGZEUGBAU. 4 Jan., 1968. No. 719/68. Heading B7G. An aircraft undercarriage comprises a vertical telescopic leg 3 having pivoted thereto (e.g. at 4) an L-shaped arm at its corner, one limb 2 thereof carrying a wheel 1, and the other limb 5 having attached thereto (e.g. at 6) a one end of spring 7. 8 connected at its other end to the leg, the spring allowing the arm to swing when the wheel engages an obstacle. The limb 5 may also have connected thereto (e.g. at 9) an actuator 10, 11 controlled by the aircraft pilot to raise the wheel 1 with respect to the leg 3. The actuator 10, 11 may be hydraulic or pneumatic.
