Abstract

120,404. Marks, E. C. R., (Sugar Centrifugal Discharger Co.). Aug. 9, 1917. Fixed-abutment type; valves, distributing &c.- Relates to liquid meters of the oscillating-vane type, wherein two oscillating vanes a<20>, Fig. 4, and b<20>, Fig. 7, are mounted in co-axial working chambers A, B, Fig. 2, a series of ports and passages being provided in the hubs a, b and the casing partitions so that the hub of each vane acts as a valve controlling the inflow and outflow of liquid in the chamber of the other vane. The liquid is admitted to the meter through the inlet e<6> and the central partition E, and discharged through the outlet e<12>. A locking-pin mounted in the partition E is adapted to hold each vane alternatively at the end of its stroke until the other vane has completed its stroke.
