Abstract
1,179,468. Valves. H. SCHEIBERT, [trading as DEUTSCHE SCHLAUCHBOOTFABRIK HANS SCHEIBERT]. 7 March, 1967 [7 March, 1966], No. 10754/67. Heading F2V. An inflatable dinghy has a charging valve attached to it by clamping the skin of the dinghy between flanges 1a and 4, the valve comprising a spring loaded closure 3 which is opened by inflation gas from a liquified source, and outlet passages 9 formed from synthetic material, e.g. polyamide, each haying a discharge point remote from the body of the valve to delay freezing of the gas within the valve due to evaporation at the point of discharge. As described each passage has a diameter of 1À5 mm., and a length at least ten times the diameter, e.g. 20 mm. The passages can be formed in separate members, or in an annular member, Fig. 4, not shown, which can be separate from, or integral with, the body of the valve, Figs. 3 and 5, not shown. The body of the valve can be formed in a glass fibre-reinforced polyamide. In Fig. 5, a cone-shaped closure is made from synthetic material.
