Abstract

1,177,805. Liquid level indication. ROCHESTER GAUGES Inc. March 8, 1967 [March 16, 1966 ], No.10982/67. Heading G1H. In a liquid level gauge a one-piece head 1 attached to the wall of a tank, carries a tube 3 which like 3, at the end remote from the head 1, supports a gear-box 11 provided with a shaft 10 arranged transversely to a fourth shaft 4 passing through the tube 3 and the arrangement is such that a counter-weighted spindle 12, carrying a float 13 and attached to the shaft 10, rotates the shaft 10, with the rise and fall of the float with liquid level changes, to rotate shaft 4, through gears 9, 8, and a magnet 7 to rotate an indicator 16. The dial 2 is cup-shaped and has an external contour Fig.2, so shaped to ensure the correct mounting position in the head 1.
