Abstract

1,175,788. Gas burners. COMPANION HEATERS PTY. Ltd. 18 July, 1968 [25 July, 1967], No. 34154/68. Heading F4T. A gas burner fabricated from sheet metal comprises a base member 1 and a cover member 2 which when assembled define a housing for a burner head 10, and also define a gas duct 8 for connection with a gas supply to direct gas therefrom to burner head 10. As shown, the two members 1 and 2 have annular portions to define the housing, and lateral extensions to define the duct 8, and are united by turning peripheral flange portions 5 (and 5a) on cover member 2 over the periphery of base member 1. The upstream extremity of gas duct 8 is provided with an aperture 11 to locate a gas jet and may include one or more air ports 12 to permit air to mix with the gas directed through the duet 8 by the gas jet.
