Abstract

1,252,285. Burners. SCHEU PRODUCTS CO. 7 Oct., 1968 [6 Oct., 1967], No. 29005/71. Divided out of 1,252,284. Heading F4T. A burner assembly 13 for a portable forced air heater includes a burner Venturi 33 and a cup-shaped flame spreader back plate 34 in front of which is positioned a solid circular spreader plate 35. A gas nozzle assembly 40 housed in a control box 15 attached to the shell 10 of the air heater supplies gas to the throat 42 of the Venturi 33, said gas being mixed at this point with air supplied from a blower (11, Fig. 4). The back plate 34 is formed with a plurality of holes through which secondary combustion air from the blower passes to complete combustion. A spark plug 45 is provided to ignite the gas/air mixture.
