1,171,252. Vented closure members. PLYSU PRODUCTS Ltd. 23 Oct., 1968 [26 Oct., 1967], No. 48829/67. Heading B8T. A vented closure device comprises : a resilient sealing member consisting of disc 2b and sleeve 2a; a tubular venting member formed of rigid plastics material consisting of disc 3b and sleeve 3a; and a second venting member 4, also of rigid plastics material, with its outer edge pressing against the top of the cap 1. Gases generated within the container pass through hole A by forcing part of the sleeve 2a proximate the hole outwardly. They are then free to escape to the atmosphere through hole B.
