934,729. Crown cbrk closures. BENDERWERKE G.m.b.H. May 26, 1961 [Jan. 10, 1961], No. 19169/61. Class 125(3). A crown cork closure, of the type having a flat base recess 3 extending into a bottle neck, has a sealing disc 5 secured to the inner surface of the recess 3 and extending freely beyond it. The sealing disc is preferably of a synthetic plastics material and may be retained by a thermoplastic adhesive. Due to the elasticity of the disc 5, it may stretch on fitting to a bottle and thereby extend to the outer surface of the bottle rim.
