A bladder 8, Fig. 1, which divides a hydraulic accumulator casing 2, 3 into compressed gas and pressurized liquid chambers is provided at its closed end with a boss 16, Fig. 2, which is engaged by a circular recess 15 in a rigid circular member 14 which when the liquid chamber is empty closes the liquid inlet and outlet opening 13; the diameter of the mouth of the recess 15 being less than that of the base thereof.
