Abstract

1,126,935. Furniture joints. M. SHIFRIN and S. SHIFRIN. 16 June, 1967 [17 June, 1966], No. 27175/66. Heading A4H. The leg 33 of a table is secured to the underframe 31, 32 by a rectangular corner plate 10 having two spaced apertures (11, 12) through which pass bolts 13, (14) rigidly attached to the top of the table leg, the plate 10 having side flanges 17, 18 extending at 45 degrees to the plate and provided with turned back ends which enter grooves 34, 35 in the underframe. The plate 10 also has a horizontal flange 19 with apertures 22 through which screws 39 are passed to secure the table top 30. The plate is of pyramidal form around each aperture (11, 12).
