Abstract

1,004,008. Knock-down cabinets. DESIGN FURNITURE Ltd. and R. J. GIBBARD. Nov. 16, 1962, No. 43519/62. Heading A4B. In the carcase of a knock-down cabinet, cupboard or wardrobe assembled from five framed panels and an open front frame 1, the top and bottom panel frames 2, 3 have inclined faces 7, 8 on their side rails to engage inclined faces 9, 10 on side panel frames 4, 5 and the front frame 1 has an inclined face 13 to engage an inclined upper edge of the front rail of the panel frame 2. Frame 1 is locked to panel frame 3 by passing bolts through aligned holes 15, 16. The back panel frame is attached to the panel frames 2 and 3 in the same manner as frame 1. A side panel frame may be formed so as to connect two cabinets side by side with a shared panel therebetween.
