Abstract

1,121,967. False-twist tubes. LEESONA CORP. 29 Dec., 1966 [2 June, 1966], No. 58105/66. Heading DID. False-twist tube 54 is rotated by rolling engagement with annular member 36. The tube is positioned in a recess in a disc 42 rotated by a belt-driven shaft extending vertically upwardly therefrom, rotation of the disc causing the tube to be pressed outwardly against a resilient, high friction ring 40 on the annular member. The annular member is connected to a shaft extending downwardly therefrom and may be driven in the same or opposite direction to the disc 42, or may be stationary. Yarn guide discs 46 and 48 are positioned below and above the tube 54. Disc 48 can be raised to render tube 54 accessible.
