Abstract

Bright nickel plating baths include cyanamide, preferably in combination with a sulphonic acid, sulphonamide, sulphonimide or similar compound containing an SO3 group in amount from 0.1 gram/ litre up to saturation. The cyanamide may be present in the range 0.01-0.5 gram/litre. The bath may contain as the source of nickel the chloride, fluoborate or sulphamate.
