Abstract
1,082,203. Display stands; shelving. ROBIN COMPONENTS Ltd. Feb. 17, 1964 [April 19, 1963], No. 15519/63. Headings A4B and A4H. A display stand comprises spaced tubular uprights 1, 2 each having front and rear vertical bars 11, 7 joined by horizontal bars 8, 9, 10 the top of the front vertical bar 11 being connected by the upper horizontal bar 8 to approximately the midheight of the rear vertical bar 7, grid shelves 3, 4 having downturned ends 14 releasably engaged in apertures 15 in the horizontal bars 9, 10, and a detachable coupling member 5 interconnecting the uprights 1, 2. Additional bracing tubes 19 engage lateral spigots on the uprights 1, 2. A rack 6 has hooked upper ends 22 engaging the coupling member 5, the lower end of the rack 6 bearing or hooking on studs 23 so that the rack is inclined. Castors 27 are provided. A modified coupling member (5a), (Fig. 4, not shown) comprises vertical bars (28) interconnected by bars (29) to form a rectangular frame, the vertical bars (28) forming the upper parts of the rear vertical bars of the uprights 1, 2 and being provided with depending spigots (30) for engagement in sockets in lower parts (7a) of the uprights.
