Class 52(3) A shelf supporting device comprises units formed of uprights B and cross-bars C, the uprights having spigots D so that pairs of such units may be connected together by a connecting plate 9, so that shelves are supported on the cross-bars C. The bottom ends of the uprights are provided with sockets so that units may be connected end to end to increase the height of the structure.
